【学习过程】
A. Welcome to the unit
Step 1 Lead-in
T:创设真实情境导入赠送礼物和购物的话题,引导学生学习生词。
Activity 1: Have a talk with the students like this.(have a guess and competition)
T:What’s this shop?
S:It’s a ---shop.
T:What can we buy here?
【设计意图】创设真实情景导入赠送礼物和购物的话题。通过图片的呈现,引导学生学习相关商店的名称。通过竞猜抢答活动,激发学生学习兴趣,调动学生课堂参与积极性,并通过问答的形式,帮助学生进一步理解与记忆这些名称。
Step2 Presentation
1.T:,Christmas is coming,Daniel wants to buy a present for Simon,He’s asking Millie for help.
2: Listen to the tape and answer the question below
What do they decide to buy?
Where can they buy...for Simon?
3: Read and repeat and answer the question
How do Millie and Daniel know to buy stamps for Simon?
【设计意图】通过听对话及回答问题的形式,训练学生通过听力获取信息的能力,在熟读对话的同时,也为编写新的对话做好文本输入的知识储备。
Step3 Practice
Activity 3;Make up similar dialogue in pairs then act out their dialogue
Ask students to work in pairs and make up a new conversation about buying presents for others, using Daniel and Millie’s conversation as a model.
【设计意图】在自编对话中自我建构,并通过Brainstorming练习“be interested in sth.”结构,过渡至谈论自己感兴趣的话题,充分发挥语言的语用功能。
B. Comic strip
Step 1 Presentation
1. Show students pictures of Eddie and Hobo.(Guess)
2. listen to the comic strip and answer the following questions.
3. Finish the passage with the given words and expressions.
【设计意图】将巩固练习形式由对话变成小短文,不仅可以检测学生对本对话内容的掌握情况,也可以检测学生的信息转换能力,引导学生在自我评价中自我升华。
Step 2 Practice
Activity 4: Ask students to role-play the conversation. Give them necessary help and support.
【设计意图】让学生进行角色表演,鼓励他们积极想象,适当增加合理内容,提高他们创新思维的积极性。
Step 3 Sum up
T: When we buy presents for others, we needn’t spend too much money on
it because as students, we don’t make any money. We should spend our pocket money wisely, do you think so? What matters is the love in the gift, not the price of it. As the saying goes, a small gift can mean a lot.
【设计意图】从书本学习延伸到学生生活,对他们的生活方式和消费态度给予正确的引导。

1. Memorize the new words, expressions and sentence structures;
