在校使用的英文说课稿

I. Contents:

TodayI’m going to talk aboutPart 1 of Unit 1, Module 5 New Standard English, Book 1.This lesson mainly deals withthe imperative sentences “ Stand up. Sit down. Open the window, etc.” and the everyday English “See you.”

II. Teaching aims

1. Aims on the knowledge

(1) To enable the Ss to understand and speak:“Stand up. Sit down. Open the window, etc. ” and “See you.” Make sure that the Ss can use these sentences in real situations.

(2) To help Ss to finish the survey.

(3) Let Ss finish the assessment in groups.

2. Aims on the abilities

(1) To develop Ss’ abilities of listening and speaking.

(2) To train the Ss’ ability of working in groups.

(3) To foster Ss’ abilities of communication and their innovation.

3. Aims on the emotion

(1) To foster Ss’ consciousness of good co-operation and proper competition.

(2) To temper Ss’ reaction.

III. Key-points of this lesson

(1)To help Ss speak“Stand up. Sit down. Open the window, etc. ” and “See you.”

(2) To enable Ss to study in groups and co-operate skillfully.

(3) To develop Ss’ interest in English.

IV. Difficult points

(1) To help the Ss practice the expressions and make sure they can use them in real situations.

(2) To finish the survey by themselves.

V. Teaching methods

As we all know: the main instructional aims of learning Englishinprimary school is to cultivate pupils’ basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language. So in this part I’ll mainly use “Task-based” teaching method. That is to say, will let the Ss learn in real situations, finish a task by making a survey to help the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structure of these expressions. I will arrange four kinds of activities: singing, guessing game, finishing a survey and having a competition. And in this lesson a recorder, some cards, school things will be needed. Ss should prepare some cards.

VI. Teaching procedures and purposes of my designing.

I’ll finish this lesson in five steps.

Step 1. Warm-up and preview

1. Greet with the Ss.

2. Sing the song together:How are you?

3. Do some TPR, for example: Show me red. Show me yellow.

4. Review the numbers by pointing and saying.

Purpose: It is important to form a better English learning surrounding for the Ss by singing and doing some total physical response and at the same time it provides situations to review learned knowledge for the next step.

Step 2. Presentation

1. Present the pattern:“Stand up.” “Sit down.”

(1) Ask one of the Ss to stand up by saying “stand up, please” and my gesture. Then ask “What’ your name?” And then “Sit down, please” with the gesture. When I say these sentences, my speed is slow.

(2) Write the sentences “Stand up.” “Sit down.” on the blackboard. I read two or three times and ask students to sit down or stand up. Then check the reading. When the Ss read wonderfully, others and I clap the hands and say: “One, two, good, very good! ”

2. Play a game. Divide the whole class into two groups to have a competition. Give the instruction and do a mime. The students do as I say.

Purpose: To present the key structures one by one is much easier for the Ss to learn and grasp the meanings. Proper competition can arouse the Ss’ interest in English learning.

Step3 Text teaching(Now I’ll mainly talk about this step.)

1. Guessing game

Draw a square on the blackboard. Let the Ss guess. They can guess in Chinese or in English. Teacher can answer them with “Yes or No”. If they can’t say it correctly , I’ll go on drawing. Then I point and say “window”. Write the word next to the picture and read it. Students and I give the prize to the good students. Give two or three cards to the students, let them stick on the window.

Pay attention to the tone.

Teach the word “door” in the same way.

2. Teach the word “open”.

Go to the window and open it. Then say “open the window”. Say the word “open” several times by body language.

Listen to the instruction and do the action. I say: “Hi ,[ a student’ name],open the window/door.” Then the students I call do it.

3. The expression “see you”

Teach the sentence with my gesture, let them guess the meaning.

4. With the help of recorder to give them the real English language.

First, ask the students to follow the tape. Then I’ll check their pronunciation. If they make a mistake, I’ll correct it .

Purpose: Recorder can provide a real situation for the Ss to develop the listening.

Step 4. Practice

TheSs practice the expressions by saying and doing in pairs.

Purpose: Task-based teaching method is used here to develop Ss’ ability of communication and also their ability of co-operation will be well trained.

Step 5. Add-activity

1. Let Ss tell each other everyday English after class. Tell their parents everyday English at home.

2. Let Ss be polite to others.

Purpose:Revision is so important that Ss should speak English as much as they can in class or after class. It is necessary for the Ss to do some extensive exercises after class to consolidate the knowledge they learned.

The pupils ofGrade 3inprimary school are very young. They are very active and full of curiosity, so they have more plasticity.
