【教材分析

本课时教学内容(Story time)围绕中国的新年(春节)这一主题展开,让学生了解春节的风俗习惯。如:节日时间?吃什么?做什么?本板块文理清晰,以几个节点Before Chinese New Year, On Chinese New Year’s Eve, On Chinese New Year’s Day, On 2nd Day of Chinese New Year阐述,使学生易于理解与掌握。同时文本是已电子邮件的形式出示文本,让学生在信息化社会中学会用电子邮件与人联系与交往,关注邮件格式。

【教学目标】

    能听懂、会说、会读和会拼写单词get, next week, food

  1. 情感目标

    通过学习,让学生能了解中国新年的风俗习惯,加深对我国传统文化的理解。

    教学重点

    1.词汇:firecrackers, fireworks, a lion dance, red packets, get, Hong Kong, next week, food, tangyuan, Chinese New Year’s Eve, Chinese New Year’s Day, rich, plan, light

    2.句型:What are you going to do ?  Im going to … .

    3.语法:一般将来时be going to结构表示意愿、打算做某事

    教学过程

    Step 1 Warming up

    T: Helloboys and girls. Today we are going to learn Unit eight. But what's the title of this unit ? Let's watch a video(放视频)

    T:  So boys and girls, do you know the title of Unit eight?

    S:Chinese New Year.  

    T:Yes, you're right.Chinese New Year is a special holiday in China. Today we are going to learn Unit 8 Chinese New Year.

    Step 2: Presentation

    1 Game “Red packet”

    T:  I have one thing about Chinese New Year. What is it? Let's guess(读屏幕)

    Riddle:  (1) It’s a rectangle.

           (2)It’s made of paper.

           (3)It’s red.

           (4)It’s a good wish for children.

    Present:   red packet   教学这个单词。

    But today my red packet is unusual. There's no money in it. There are just eight cards in it.(介绍游戏规则)

    (屏幕上:随机抽一张卡片,如果是问题,正确回答之后,可以达到小礼物。如果卡片上是一条金蛇的图片,那就是超级幸运的小朋友,可以直接得到小礼物啦!)

    T: Now please choose one card,  if you choose the card with a question, you should answer it first and then get the present. If there's a lucky snake, you can get the present at once.

    屏幕中出现8张卡片,其中可以有3个是金蛇的图片,五个问题分别是:

    (1)When's Chinese New Year?     It's in January or February.

    (2)We can also call it           .   A. Spring Festival     B. Mid-Autumn Festival

    (3)What do people eat at Chinese New Year?    

    A.  Rice dumplings   B. dumplings        C. moon cakes

    (4) 2025 is the year of             .        A.Snake      B. Horse

    (5)Do people have a long holiday at Chinese New Year?    Yes, they do.     No, they don’t.

    (设计意图:创设节日氛围,谈论节日的时间、风俗习惯和人们通常的活动,引出本课话题。)

    2 Present the email

    T: When Chinese New Year is coming, how do you feel?  

    S: Excited, Happy...

    T: Now Su Hai is very happy today, because she got an Email, let's have a look.

    (课件呈现课文第一面的背景和邮件)

    T: This Email is to Su Hai, and who is it from?

    S: Anna. (课件划出人名)

    T: Great, who's Ann? She keeps in touch with Su Hai by email. So she's Su Hai's e-friend课件划出e-friend.

    T: Where does she live ?

    S: In Hong Kong.课件划出Hong Kong.

    T:Oh, where is Hong Kong? Look at this map of China, Hong Kong is here, in the south of China, it's far from Jiangsu. (呈现一种中国地图,展示香港的位置。)

    T: And in this Email, what is Anna going to talk? Can you find it?

    S: Chinese New Year.

    T: Oh,  how do you know this?  we can see the subject here, the subject is the title of this Email.

    2 Guess

    T:   Now what is Anna going to do at Chinese New Year?

    课件呈现预测:What is Anna going to do at Chinese New Year? Pay attention to“be going to. ” 表示一般将来时,将要发生的事情。

    Give  some key words,guess.课件呈现: buy   make   eat   watch ...读词)引导学生使用Shes going to ...的句型进行猜测。(教师根据学生的回答,板书出词组)

    3 Watch and check

    T: Let's watch the video and Let's try to check.  find out what Anna is going to do.(学生看视频找出词组,教师适时教学fireworkswatch a lion dance并跟读书上的6个词组)

    4 Read and orderexercise 1

    T: Open your books,Look at the exercise1 , let's read and order these things with numbers.

    (学生反馈时回答用整句)

    T: And there are so many thingsdo you order them according to the time or places?

    S: Time.

    T: Please read the story again and try to find the words about time.

    (在课本中四个时间找齐)

    T: In 2025 Chinese New Year’s Day is on the 29th of January. (呈现Chinese New Year’s Day ) And  the 28th of January, we call it Chinese New Year’s Eve. (呈现Chinese New Year’s Eve ) And the 30th of January is the second day of Chinese New Year (呈现the second day of Chinese New Year. And how about these days? (课件标注除夕前的大概一周时间

    T: We call it before Chinese New Year, right?

    5 Look and order. Complete the phrases

    T: Now let's do the exercise two . think and write. If you are okay,  sit straight and put hands up.

    课件上呈现要求:(1 )词卡匹配到正确的时间后面

    并尝试用下列句型汇报Before.../On...,she is going to ...

    Step 3 Consolidation

    1 Listen and repeat

    We know a lot about Chinese New Year in Hong Kong. How about Chinese New Year in Jiangsu?

    2 Work in four and discuss the differences

    Discuss: 讨论Anna和自己的春节计划,说一说香港和江苏不同的春节习俗。

    Like this: Before Chinese New Year. Su Hai is going to ....I’m going to ....

    3 The meanings of Chinese New Year

    T: Thank you for sharing.  Chinese New Year is very special  In China.To Chinese people, Chinese New Year means fun, means Reunion, means blessing. This is a holiday full of love. So we will all have a good time this Chinese new year.

    (设计意图:通过问答交谈春节活动,巩固本课时所学,鼓励学生自由表达地域不同的风俗习惯同时深化对节日意义的理解。

    Step 4 Homework

    1.Read Anna’s email and tell your family about Chinese New Year in Hong Kong.

    2.Make your plan for Chinese New Year with your family.

    3. Surf the Internet, try to know some Chinese New Year customs(风俗) of different places in China.
